Beccy is best known for an amazing live show and will bring a crowd to fever pitch. An accomplished comedienne, Beccy can have an audience roaring with laughter at her wicked brand of humour.
Beccy is no stranger to the winner's podium after taking out 7 Golden Guitars and 2 Entertainer of the Year awards. Add to this her 3 Gold records and many other songwriting accolades and one begins to see why this performer has remained at the forefront of Australian Country Music.
Not content with being known for just her quirkiness, Beccy penned a heartfelt and honest song, Poster Girl, which swept all before it to take out a remarkable three Golden Guitars in 2007. Inspired by a trip to the Middle East to Entertain Australian troops, Beccy continues to dedicate this work to those who have served the country, past and present.
In a career that began over 20 years ago as a teen singing in her Mum, Carole Sturtzel's band, "Wild Oats;" Beccy has toured with Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Tom T Hall, The Bellamy Brothers, Glenn Campbell and Don McClean.
Beccy Cole is the real deal. A divorced, working single mother who has always had the ability to laugh in the face of adversity, even better, she's been able to write songs about it and share them with the world. Beccy's energy and generosity is infectious, her honesty and lack of pretension, refreshing.
This song was written in response to a fan's reaction to Beccy entertaining our troops in the Middle East.
The track is available on CD - the source is in the video.
